Independent Software Comparison
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
vs.
Dealfront

Network signals or company database

One knows the people and their careers, the other knows the companies and their data. Which view actually moves your pipeline?

The short answer

Your buyers are active on LinkedIn, tech, agencies, consultancies, enterprise departments.

Sales Navigator

Roles and job changes are most current there because people maintain their own profiles, and outreach happens inside the network.

You need German-speaking company data with export and CRM sync.

Dealfront

A DACH focus built on registry and website data, and the lists are allowed to leave the tool.

You want to know which companies visit your website.

Dealfront

Visitor identification from the Leadfeeder side is an inbound channel Sales Navigator simply does not have.

You need email addresses and phone numbers for classic outbound.

Not Sales Navigator

LinkedIn provides no contact data and no export. Dealfront is the closer fit, or skip the tooling and buy a researched list.

Direct Feature Comparison

Strengths and weaknesses based on real user experiences and data architectures.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator

The sales cockpit for the LinkedIn network: precise people search and career signals, but everything stays inside LinkedIn.

The greatest strengths

Precise people search by role, seniority and industry in the largest business network
Live career signals: job changes, posts, new responsibilities
Profiles are maintained by the people themselves, so roles are often fresher than in purchased databases
Warm paths through shared connections and InMail instead of cold first contact
Saved lead lists with alerts that keep themselves current

The weaknesses

No email addresses, no phone numbers, outreach stays in the LinkedIn inbox
No list export: results are locked inside the tool
Blind wherever your buyers are not active on LinkedIn, common in traditional manufacturing
Thin company data: no registry, financial or structural depth

Dealfront

The European sales intelligence platform formed by the Echobot and Leadfeeder merger: DACH company data plus website visitor identification.

The greatest strengths

DACH focus with company data from registries, websites and news
Website visitor identification: which companies are researching you right now
Trigger events and news signals as a reason to reach out
Export and CRM integration, research lands where the team actually works
European vendor with a GDPR story that survives procurement review

The weaknesses

People signals such as job changes are less immediate than inside the LinkedIn network
Coverage thins out considerably outside Europe
Two product worlds (database and visitor identification) need to be lived as a process
Still a tool: searching, filtering and qualifying remains your team's work

In-depth market analysis: Who is suitable for what?

Two tools, two world views

LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Dealfront answer different questions. Sales Navigator is the sales view of the LinkedIn network: you search for people by role, seniority and industry, and you see what those people are doing right now, changing jobs, posting, taking on new responsibility. Dealfront, born from the merger of Echobot and Leadfeeder, starts from the company: a European company database with a DACH focus, extended by identification of which companies visit your website. One is a relationship tool, the other a data tool.

The contact data problem

The most practical difference is also the most overlooked: Sales Navigator provides no email addresses and no phone numbers, and lists cannot be exported. Outreach stays in the LinkedIn inbox, InMail, connection request, comment. For social selling that is coherent; for outbound processes built on email and phone it is a hard boundary that many teams discover only after signing. Dealfront is the more open system: company profiles with contact routes, export and CRM integration, so research ends up where your team actually works.

Where your buyers live decides it

Sales Navigator is exactly as good as your target group's LinkedIn activity. If you sell to software companies, agencies, consultancies or enterprise departments, hit density is high and signals are current because people maintain their own profiles. If you sell into traditional mid-market manufacturing, construction or regional trade, it gets thin fast: many decision makers there have a dormant profile or none at all. Dealfront draws its company data from sources such as registries and websites, so it also covers firms that are invisible on LinkedIn.

The website visitor as a second channel

One chapter Sales Navigator does not have at all: through its Leadfeeder heritage, Dealfront shows which companies visit your website, an inbound signal that needs no form fill. Someone viewing your pricing page three times is a warmer candidate than any coldly filtered record. To be fair, it stays a company-level signal: you do not see which individual was there, and attribution naturally does not work for every visitor. As an additional channel alongside active research, it is still a genuine advantage.

The verdict

Sales Navigator is the right choice when your buyers live on LinkedIn and your sales motion runs on relationships, content and InMail. Dealfront is the right choice when you want to systematically find companies in the DACH market, export them and process them in your CRM, or learn who is visiting your website. Both remain tools: searching, evaluating and finding the reason to reach out stays your team's job. If you would rather not build that step yourself, look at the third option below.
