In short
- What is the occasion?
- The company has newly obtained or extended a certificate: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, EN 9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 or ISO 50001. Certificates are on the website with a date, usually as a PDF.
- Why call now?
- A new certification is an entry ticket to a market: automotive, aerospace, medical technology. Whoever has just obtained it is building processes, measuring room and supply chain for it and needs partners who meet the standard.
- How does Kodo spot it?
- Certificate page of the company, Press release, Job ads in quality, New target industry.
The timing.
Every occasion has a window. Before it, nothing is visible; after it, the order is placed. Kodo delivers while the window is open.
- 1 Decision A customer demands the standard, or a new market is to be opened.
- 2 Audit and certificate The certificate is issued and published, with validity date.
- 3 Monday list Kodo puts the company on the list with standard, date and source.
- 4 First orders The new customers demand evidence down the supply chain.

How it appears on the list.
One line of the Monday list: company, occasion, the quote from the source, the check, the contact person.
How your sales team opens.
The first sentence starts with the source, not with your product. Two examples for this occasion:
"You have been certified to EN 9100 since this year. Which aerospace parts are you ramping up first?"
"About the new IATF certification: which inspection equipment did you buy for it, and what is still missing?"

What people ask first.
Is a certification really a buying occasion?
On its own, a hint. With a date, it is one: in the months after certification, measuring equipment, processes and suppliers are brought up to the new standard. Kodo shows the date and what else the company reports.
Which standards does Kodo read?
The standards that count in machine building and among suppliers: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, EN 9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, plus welding standards such as EN 1090 and ISO 3834.
Do I need the same certification as the buyer?
It is often required, sometimes process capability is enough. Kodo names the buyer's standard; what you meet, you know.
