Who is NORTEC for?
Based on what the organiser publishes about exhibitors and visitors. Honest, even when the answer is "probably not".
Go if …
- you source machine tools, precision tools or manufacturing systems for metalworking: milling, turning, grinding and sheet-metal machines are in the exhibitor structure
- you compare robotics, measuring and inspection technology or manufacturing software and want to walk only one hall: in 2026 everything was in Hall A4
- you manufacture in the north in mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, aerospace, medical technology or shipbuilding: these are visitor industries in the 2024 survey
- you have a say in purchasing: 78 percent of visitors in 2024 said they were involved in purchasing and procurement decisions
Exhibit if …
- you look for new customers in northern Germany: in 2024 the large majority of visitors came from within 100 kilometres
- you offer machines, tools, software or contract manufacturing for metalworking: the organiser says the show covers the whole metalworking value chain

The Kodo angle
Metalworking and electronics production in the north
NORTEC is the trade fair for production in northern Germany and covers the whole chain of metalworking. For providers selling to machining shops, machine builders and suppliers in the north, the exhibitor list is a regional target group. Kodo reads it and adds what each company shows otherwise.
- 01Exhibitors, with processes and machine park
- 02Plus investment, jobs and growth, with source

NORTEC for sales
NORTEC in Hamburg is organised by Messe Stuttgart together with the VDW and takes place every two years. It shows machine tools, precision tools, metrology, automation and software. If you are looking for METAV, you are in the right place: the VDW brought METAV into NORTEC in 2023, as stated in its announcement of 12 July 2023.
What Kodo makes of it
Kodo matches every exhibitor to a company, compares it with your target picture and adds the occasion: new machine, investment, open jobs. The result sits on your salesperson's call list, with contact and source. The examples on this page come from the 2026 edition.
