The Stuttgart region is the densest machine building location in Germany: car makers and their suppliers, machine tools, machining shops and tool makers within an hour, plus East Württemberg, the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb.

Blechexpo in Stuttgart takes place every two years, together with Schweisstec for joining technology. Its exhibitors are machine and tool manufacturers, automation firms and sheet metal processors from Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and the whole German-speaking region.
